If you've landed on this blog, I thought it might be nice to properly introduce myself.
My name is Pat, and creativity has been part of my life for as long as I can remember.
For over ten years, I've worked as a graphic designer and illustrator. Most of my professional career has been connected to games, educational projects, and digital art. Creating things has always been something I genuinely enjoy—not just as a job, but as a way of thinking and seeing the world.
And if you're a parent too, you probably know that children have an incredible talent for getting bored exactly five minutes after saying they were bored five minutes ago.
Over the years, I've spent a lot of time coming up with activities, games, little challenges, drawing ideas, printable worksheets, and creative ways to fill rainy afternoons. Some worked brilliantly. Some lasted about three minutes before being abandoned for something completely different.
Not because I wanted another project. Not because I wanted to open a shop. But because I realized that many of the things I was creating for my own child could be useful for other families too.
I've always liked creating things that have a purpose. Something that can bring a smile, solve a small problem, inspire creativity, or simply make someone's day a little easier.
Creative Nook Book became my way of sharing those ideas beyond my own home and my own desk.
When I'm not working, you'll usually find me drawing, exploring new creative hobbies, playing video games, getting inspired by things that have absolutely nothing to do with work, or spending time with my family.
I'm also a big fan of sketchbooks, colorful markers, cozy creative projects, and the kind of activities that remind us that making things doesn't have to be perfect to be enjoyable.
This blog will be a place where I share some of those ideas, projects, thoughts, and creative adventures along the way.
And if something here inspires you to create, learn, draw, play, or simply spend a few fun minutes with your child, then that's already more than I could ask for.
Thanks for being here.
Pat ❤️
